A non-exhaustive list of spiritual and practical thought on tattoo.

Tattoo is medicine.
I would like to invite you to a process, to connect with the purpose of your tattoo. Actually with the purpose of your being, but since you like the idea of having a tattoo, this will be our tool.
We will pass through 3 consecutive stages in this process.
- Conversation: To gather your personal story and translate it into concrete symbols, numbers, shapes and forms. The intention is to create a list of concrete elements that will be incorporated into the tattoo.
- Synthesis: Based on what we have collected, I will draw the design. Many times the first design will be the final tattoo, though sometimes a forth and back is necessary until you feel that «this design is for me».
- Manifestation: Being as prepared as we could be, and with my mobile studio in a bag, it is possible to realize the tattooing at any location you desire. During the healing stage which will last about 3-4 weeks I will be available for questions and guidance.

Your journey has started way before you decided to visit this website and read about my vision of tattoo. When we invite tattoo as a medicine into our lives, we are opening a chain of processes with it. Whatever happens, it is a tool to meet yourself.
I like to compare tattoos to prayers. A prayer might accompany us for quite a while, and it can bring about great transformation. When we step into communication with the divine, there is no point imitating words. We have to speak our inner truth, a truth that is unchangeable, independent to whoever might be bystander.
Similarly our tattoos speak our inner truths, unchangeable and independent. To inspire you, I would like to share some inner truths that always reappear in one form or another:
- Strength: because inside a vision was found, to be manifested in this world and to be shared with community.
- Gratitude: because light is shining on what is in this moment, to acknowledge and to give thanks to be alive.
- Healing: because wounds are carried, to remember the wisdom they brought and not to return to the darkness.

About the artist
Panambi, born in 1993, completed his Bachelor of Arts in the Netherlands in 2018.
Followed by various years of travelling he explored different cultures and ways of living.
His artistic activities have gradually moved from auditive to visual art.
In 2022 he received initiation for tattooing in Brazil, in which he found a way to combine aesthetics and spirituality.
He found other teachers on his travels, namely in Spain and Germany.

All truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.
Am I ready?
Especially for the first tattoo, this question might arise. I suggest that if you can answer the following three questions with a yes, you can go ahead.
- Am I doing this for my own desire?
- If transformation implies going there, from where there is no point of return, do I want transformation in my life?
- Am I aware that a tattoo without meaning doesn’t exist – that every tattoo carries expression?
Even if you answer all questions with yes, you might feel you are not ready. That is, because truly we never are ready until the thing itself is happening.
The healing process
There are many practices and opinions about the healing process of a tattoo.
Generally there is no need to be afraid, though surely your body needs a special treatment in this time.
Depending on the size and location amongst other factors I may suggest you a certain method to take care of your new tattoo.
Generally the first three days are critical, considering the character of my tattoos, I recommend following:
Keep the wound clean: Please, this is the most important thing to keep in mind. Wash your wound with clean, lukewarm water. If the wound is closed, you may add a neutral soap. In that case rinse well, so no residues stay inside. As long as the wound is clean, it can heal. Depending on your routine, maybe you will have to protect the wound. For this I recommend propolis and/or bandages that allow breathing.
Honey, cremes and oils: while the wound is still fresh, take care when using cremes, thick cremes might be difficult to apply and could damage the thin skin that is just grown over the fresh wound. Once the wound is closed you can use oils and cremes to keep the skin moist, a dry skin can lead to disturbance in the healing process. I recommend butter of karité (Vitellaria paradoxa), aloe, cold oils (e.g. coconut), or generally natural products that feel good and keep the skin moist and flexible.
I avoid chemical substances, it is not necessary.
Considering the variety of tattoo aftercare products available, for most of them I do not see any special use, because I prefer the natural products I listed above.
What to do if something feels not right?
Do not wait, just ask someone. Normally a little bit of scratching, rashing, burning, or another uncomfortable feeling, may be present for some days.
